We are looking for highly skilled crafters who are interested in teaching soap making, lotion making, lip balm/bath bomb or other bodycare related classes. We are most interested in finding someone to teach a cold-process soap class and a melt & pour soap making class.
In August 2009 we moved the manufacturing portion of the business to a warehouse in Seattle's Rainier Valley. Now we have extra space in the U-District retail space for classes. The space would be available 12-6, Tuesday-Friday and 9-2:30 on Saturday. Ballard Organics will list the class on our website and the teacher may choose to promote the class on their own. Ballard Organics will receive 40% of the class fee.
The teacher will plan and execute the class, as well as clean up after the class. Ballard Organics will not supply ingredients. Ballard Organics will be responsible for billing and will pay the teacher once the student's funds have cleared. Ballard Organics policy is to have students prepay for the class, there is no refund for a "no-show". Class size is restricted to 10 people.
If you are interested in teaching or have feedback then I'd be glad to hear about it. Please email your questions to ben@ballardorganics.com. All prospective classes will face a review process.
Thank you for your interest!
